Hybrid Power Solutions Inc. has received an initial purchase order from a global provider of AI-based security and drone systems for a trial unit of its Batt Pack Energy portable power system. The customer, which serves public safety agencies and defense organizations, will evaluate the system's performance in field operations where reliable, quiet power is essential for mission-critical activities. The Batt Pack Energy offers emission-free, modular operation as an alternative to traditional fuel generators.
CEO Francois Byrne stated that this order represents a significant step in expanding the company's footprint into public safety and defense sectors. "The customer's commitment to innovation in protecting life and enhancing operational capabilities aligns closely with our mission to deliver clean, reliable power solutions," Byrne said. Following successful completion of the trial and the customer's internal approval processes, this engagement may lead to a follow-on purchase program of up to approximately 500-600 units over the next 18 months.
The customer develops advanced technology platforms including body-worn cameras, in-car video systems, and cloud-based evidence management tools designed to enhance safety and operational efficiency for law enforcement, military, and other public safety organizations. The Batt Pack Energy provides robust power delivery in a compact, rugged design, making it suitable for powering sensitive electronics and extended field deployments where quiet and low-emission performance are priorities. Canadian manufacturing and a robust supply chain were essential factors in the customer's purchasing decision.
In a separate development, Hybrid Power Solutions will participate as one of ten selected Canadian companies in the Arizona Transportation Roadshow from January 20-23, 2026. Organized by the Trade Commissioner Service in partnership with Global Ties Arizona, the roadshow will facilitate meetings with key leaders in Arizona's transportation, logistics, and infrastructure ecosystem. The company will showcase its fuel-free power technologies to decision-makers in what Byrne described as "one of North America's fastest-growing mobility hubs."
The roadshow includes panels on multimodal transportation, site visits to facilities like COSIC LLC and Mesa Gateway Airport, and engagements with cities including Phoenix, Mesa, Avondale, and Surprise. A targeted B2B meeting with Arizona Public Service will explore collaboration opportunities in clean energy and sustainable power solutions for utility and infrastructure applications.
